evolution of Consciousness: The significance of spiral dynamics in our times
We will look at Don Beck's Spiral Dynamics schema, which describes movement in level of existence from Survival, to Truth, to Egalitarianism and finally Globalism, each with their own psychological and behavioural characteristics. This will lead to an exploration of the value memes of our current culture which need to be reappraised if we are to develop in consciousness. When we are comfortable with change and uncertainty, we can be part of personal and societal evolution.
